About the author...
JJ is a mixed Chow / Black Retriever / Border Collie living in the historic town of Frontenac, Kansas. He's originally from the area around Joplin, Missouri but he persuaded a couple of gullible humans to take him home from the Joplin Humane Society late in 2004. He shares his World with Paddy, a Labrador/Shepherd Mix, and Big Lady and Big Guy, his humans.
JJ's likes are: Big Lady, Big Guy, being brushed and sitting on the sofa. He also enjoys a full-contact game known as "Wild Dog" which is frequently played with Paddy.
JJ's dislikes are: Getting wet, anything large occupying the airspace over his world (especially Hawks and Turkey Vultures) and Paddy when he gets too close to JJ's food bowl.

So sorry for the loss of JJ, our pets are so much a part of our lives, thoughts & prayers.
Thank you, Nancy. They look to us when their suffering becomes unbearable, but how loving he was through it all.
Patrick may take up the blog editing at some point on his own. He may have learned a thing or two from JJ's editorial style.
